Dear Honorable Fisherman, We have a purple fee post installed
on the right side (you facing the lake) of the lake front parking. Parking is $5. Thank you. – Guffin Bay Resort and
the way, the green spray paint on it is NOT due to any ill behavior of anyone, but the stupidity of the owner. Please excuse
the ugliness, which will be repaired in Spring).
Updated: Feb 1st, 2021
see a lot more fishermen today (Monday) than yesterday (Sunday). & from Sean, who knows the lake and Guffin Bay: "Ice is 6-7 inches and building. Ice conditions are consistent, from what I checked, from Guffin Bay launch
to the point. Typical areas I recommend people avoiding every year are Crab and Croyle Island (high current creates thin ice
even during the coldest years) and the mouth of Guffin Creek (any sort of snow melt starts to wear the ice thin). I have fished
here for a few years, and the bay typically stays consistent. However, I have not checked the southern shore of the
bay this year and can offer no ice report on that. The launch looks good and it looks like folks have been already going out.
